chest, Happy, Broken — Dinked Edition debut LP out October
Paris five-piece chest. make their debut LP on EXAG Records and Howlin Banana Records, and the Dinked Edition is where to start. Limited to 300 copies on green and red splatter natural vinyl, hand-numbered with a signed postcard and a pack of five stickers, it’s a proper object for a band who’ve earned the attention. The record was made at Studio La Frette, where Nick Cave and Arctic Monkeys have recorded, and it carries that room’s weight.
The music pulls from noise rock, industrial, techno and shoegaze without sitting cleanly inside any of them — which is a genuinely difficult thing to pull off on a debut. NME listed them as one of 100 artists to watch in 2025 before the debut EP landed, which is the kind of tip that tends to read as hype until the music arrives and makes the case on its own terms. The EP did that.
