Toxicity 25th Anniversary Edition — System of a Down LP + 7″
System of a Down are marking twenty five years of Toxicity with a proper anniversary edition: the full album on LP alongside a 7″ single of “Johnny,” a track that only appeared as a bonus on select editions back in 2001 and has never had a wide physical release since. The 7″ comes with a custom etched B side and the package includes a double sided poster.
There’s also a long overdue correction in the packaging: the hidden closing track, an Armenian hymn the band performs live in memory of the 1.5 million lives lost in the 1915 genocide, is finally correctly named as “Der Voghormia.” It’s the kind of detail that matters, and it’s good to see it fixed in an official release.
