Numero Group are reissuing Gigi Masin‘s 1986 debut Wind for its 40th anniversary, and it is the kind of reissue that genuinely merits the occasion. Remastered and restored, the record arrives on 30th October 2026 in a tip on jacket with the original artwork reproduced in reflective silver foil.
Wind has always been a difficult record to categorise neatly, which is part of what makes it endure. Masin built it from minimal piano, threads of free classical and something close to Balearic new age, and the result sounds less like a period document than a record that arrived slightly outside of time altogether. Four decades on it still holds that quality.
Numero Group have a strong track record with presentations like this, and the packaging detail here is worth noting.
