Sweet Home, Go! — Wang Wen 10th Anniversary Reissue
Wang Wen‘s Sweet Home, Go! turns ten this year and the Dalian post-rock group are marking it with a proper anniversary reissue on Space Circle. The record was their first collaboration with producer Wouter, made during one of the coldest weeks of that winter in Dalian, and it has a particular character because of those circumstances. This is not a routine repress — it has been rethought from the packaging outward.
Longtime collaborator Lu Tao redesigned the artwork, with sleeve material the band describes as recalling old three-colour film TV screens. A photo frame special edition is also part of the release. The result is something that feels genuinely considered rather than a quick cash-grab reissue of a back catalogue title.
