The Dungeon Tapes: Pelagic Records 300th Release Compilation
Pelagic Records have reached their 300th release, and they are marking it with a label compilation rather than a reissue or a quiet announcement. The Dungeon Tapes is a 2xLP featuring new material from a significant chunk of the Pelagic roster including The Ocean, Spook the Horses, Lost In Kiev, Barrens, Gösta Berlings Saga, Telepathy and Psychonaut, among others.
The record also includes a cover of My Bloody Valentine’s Soon by a Pelagic United and Friends collective, which is either the most on-brand thing a post-rock and heavy music label could commission or a genuinely interesting curatorial choice, possibly both.
