Pet Shop Boys’ A Man From The Future is a work built around eight chapters of Alan Turing’s life, made with Turing biographer Andrew Hodges, string arrangements by Sven Helbig and narration from Juliet Stevenson, performed by the Manchester Camerata Octet. It was originally staged at the BBC Proms in 2014, and this is a revised and updated version produced by the band and Helbig.
This particular pressing is the exclusive green and orange 2LP, available only from the Pet Shop Boys’ own store. Out 9th October 2026 on Parlophone. The combination of format, colour and exclusivity makes it the collector’s version of a record that already has a lot of meaning attached to it — the Turing connection gives it a specific gravity that most pop reissues don’t carry.
