There Near — Dinosaur Jr. New Album Out 28 August
Dinosaur Jr. are back with their sixth album since reforming, and it arrives on 28th August via Jagjaguwar. There Near was recorded in short bursts at Bisquiteen Studio in Amherst with the core trio of J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph intact, which is the only lineup that has ever really mattered for this band.
Six reunion era records in and there is no sign of diminishing returns. If you have been following the band through that stretch, There Near sits comfortably alongside the stronger entries in that run. For anyone who let the reunion period pass them by, this is as good a moment as any to catch up.
