Throwing Muses

Throwing Muses (40th Anniversary Edition)

This is a 4AD classic. Kristin Hersh’s guitars will remind you of The Breeders, Belly and Pixies. The oxblood vinyl is likely to be in high demand, so pre-order to guarantee yourself a copy.

TTNG (This Town Needs Guns)

Animals (Reissue)

The UK math rock crew formerly known as This Town Needs Guns are reissuing Animals, split across a pressing in mustard and aqua splatter and a clear and green galaxy version. Preorders are live now in two different stores depending on where you’re ordering from.

Hammock

A Moonrise Was the Second Coming

More ambient post-rock from Hammock. Part of their wider project The Second Coming Was a Moonrise, and this pressing is capped at just 100 copies, this will be sought after by collectors!.

We Contain Multitudes

Say Nothing

An up and coming name in post-rock, with a growing fan base. This limited 12″ comes in a green river UFO colorway with black swirls. An unusual pressing, for a band you absolutely need to check out.

The Samuel Jackson Five

Temporal Lapse

This is the orange vinyl pressing of the quintet’s new full length. If you follow post-rock, then you’ve certainly heard their music, they fly just under the radar and have over a decades experience of producing critically acclaimed instrumental music. This should be no different.

Hot Chip

A Long Way From Kansas

Their ninth album, named for a Wizard of Oz nod, is about the gap between a world speeding up and the search for something that feels like home. They lean into distortion and decay, but with that signature Hot Chip sound that turns anywhere into a dance floor . Up for preorder now as a 2LP through Domino.

Aluminum

Iconoclast HaHa

Recorded with Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden, this one pushes the guitars up front and leans into a faster, punkier attack than the San Francisco four-piece’s last record. If you want shoegaze with some teeth and actual songs underneath the noise, this is for you.

Life Without Buildings

XFM Sessions

This Glasgow band only existed from 1999 to 2002 and left behind one album, Any Other City, so any new recorded material is genuinely rare. These are two acoustic sessions for John Kennedy’s XFM show from 2000 and 2001. It’s coming out alongside the band’s reunion shows.
