Post-rock vinyl

Post-rock uses rock instruments for something other than rock songs: long builds, quiet-to-loud dynamics, often no vocals at all. Critic Simon Reynolds popularised the term in 1994, after Talk Talk and Slint had already shown the way. Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Sigur Rós and Explosions in the Sky made it a genre, and labels like Constellation, Temporary Residence and Rock Action still define it.

These are records made for the format: long sides, gatefold sleeves, heavyweight and limited coloured pressings. Here's every post-rock record we've covered, from new albums and anniversary reissues to what's back in stock, with where to buy each one at retail price.
