Horses In The Sky 21st Anniversary Edition — Thee Silver Mt. Zion

Horses In The Sky gets a 21st anniversary reissue from Constellation — 2LP with etched vinyl and booklet. Preorder now from Sister Ray, out 4 December 2026.

Horses In The Sky is back in print. Constellation are releasing the 21st anniversary edition of Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra and Tra-La-La Band‘s 2005 record on 4 December 2026, and it is available to preorder now from Sister Ray. The package is a 2LP with etched vinyl and a booklet, which is the kind of treatment Constellation consistently delivers on their catalogue reissues.

For anyone who has spent time in the Godspeed-adjacent corner of post-rock, Horses In The Sky is one of the records that fills in an important part of that map — more song-based, more raw, more explicitly political than the instrumental end of the Constellation roster, but cut from the same cloth in terms of ambition and feeling. If you have the gap in your collection, this is the edition worth filling it with.

Constellation pressings are reliable. They care about how the physical object turns out, and that matters for a record like this. Preorder via Sister Ray before it moves.
