About Michael Scott Dawson
Michael Scott Dawson makes slow, spacious ambient music, mostly built from guitar, loops and field recordings. His debut Nowhere, Middle Of came out in 2020, followed by a run of records on Toronto's We Are Busy Bodies including Music For Listening, Find Yourself Lost, Long Slow Distance and The Tinnitus Chorus. Guitar, Solo was released ahead of a tour of Japan.
Two Places At Once, a ten-track album made remotely with the pianist Aiko Takahashi, is out on 6 November 2026 on 180g blue/white split vinyl. Takahashi's piano loops sit at the centre, with Dawson building sound and field recordings around them.
