Shoegaze vinyl

Shoegaze came out of late-1980s Britain: guitars buried in effects, vocals sunk into the mix, songs that wash over you rather than hit you. The name was a jibe at bands who stared at their effects pedals on stage. My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Ride and Lush defined it on labels like Creation and 4AD, and a newer wave, from DIIV to Nothing, has kept it going.

It's also one of the hardest genres to buy on vinyl. Many original pressings were small, and once they sell out, resale prices climb fast: our Vinyl Report found shoegaze records reselling for 473% more than retail on average. Here's every shoegaze record we've covered, with what's on pre-order, what's in stock and where to buy it while it's still at retail price.
