Life Without Buildings release two rare XFM acoustic sessions from 2000 and 2001 on vinyl via Heavenly Creature Records, out 4 December 2026. Order from Bandcamp.
Life Without Buildings existed for just three years, from 1999 to 2002, and left behind one studio album. Any other recorded material from that window is genuinely rare, which makes XFM Sessions a significant release rather than a peripheral archive dig. These are two acoustic sessions recorded for John Kennedy’s XFM show in 2000 and 2001, coming out on Heavenly Creature Records on 4 December 2026.
The timing is notable too. The release is coming out alongside the band’s reunion shows, which means there is a real moment around Life Without Buildings right now for anyone who has been following them from a distance or discovering them for the first time.
The format is listed as the Errol’s Hot Wax Edition LP, available through Bandcamp. For a Glasgow band with a catalogue this small, having two radio sessions surface on vinyl is the kind of thing collectors and fans will want to own. If Any Other City is already in your collection, XFM Sessions belongs alongside it.
