TTNG reissue Animals on Sargent House in two splatter variants. Preorder now from Hello Merch in the US or Evil Greed in Europe ahead of January 2027.
TTNG are reissuing Animals, and the vinyl options make this one worth paying attention to from a collector’s standpoint. The Oxford math rock band, formerly known as This Town Needs Guns, are pressing the record in two variants: a clear with mustard and aqua splatter and a clear and green galaxy edition. Both are available to preorder now ahead of the 29 January 2027 release date on Sargent House.
Animals is the kind of record that tends to get talked about in the same breath as the best of the early 2010s UK math rock scene. The fingerpicked guitar work and the warm, intricate songwriting hold up well, and a fresh pressing gives those who missed the original run a clean way in.
Where you order from depends on where you are. US buyers should head to Hello Merch, while European orders are best placed through Evil Greed. Both stores have preorders live now, so pick whichever suits your location and get in before these sell down.
