Slate's The Grandfather Clock is up for preorder on Brace Yourself, out 22 January 2027. Dinked translucent ink purple vinyl edition available now from Resident.
Slate follow their debut EP Deathless with The Grandfather Clock, a record woven through with Welsh identity, childhood and kin, drawing on the poetry of R.S. Thomas and Dylan Thomas as reference points. They have been out on the road opening for Manic Street Preachers, The Horrors and Chalk, so the live reputation is already established.
If the names The Cure, Sonic Youth, Cranes, Blonde Redhead and My Bloody Valentine mean anything to you as a cluster, this is worth investigating. The Dinked edition is on translucent ink purple vinyl, available through Resident.
Out 22 January 2027 on Brace Yourself. Preorder now from Resident.
