About this record

The indie folk duo’s second album and first for 4AD, working in the psychedelic folk tradition with a contemporary sensibility that makes it feel nothing like a revival exercise. Eleven songs that shift between heaviness and patient calm, balancing beauty and something darker beneath it. On 4AD, so the pressing will be decent, and the soil brown vinyl is a nice object. For fans of the more meditative end of what this label does.
