Plastic Beach Urban Outfitters Exclusive — Gorillaz on Grape Vinyl
Plastic Beach is out on an Urban Outfitters exclusive pressing, grape vinyl with yellow splatters, limited to 3,000 copies. It is released through Warner Records and available now from the Urban Outfitters shop.
The album turned fifteen and it still sounds like nothing else in the Gorillaz catalogue. Damon Albarn assembled an extraordinary list of collaborators for this one, from Mos Def to Bobby Womack, and the result is a record that pulls in directions that should not cohere but absolutely do. It functions as a kind of found sound collage that plays like a proper album front to back.

The grape and yellow splatter combination works well for a record with this much going on sonically and visually. At 3,000 copies this is not the most limited pressing in existence, but Urban Outfitters exclusives on Gorillaz titles do move. Worth acting on sooner rather than later if the colourway is what you are after.
