About this record
Somewhere Further Than Far Away is the first Carissa’s Wierd album since Songs About Leaving in 2002. Mat Brookes and Jenn Champion recorded their parts at home, passing them back and forth, before finishing the record in a Seattle studio.
Opener No One Lives Here Anymore is their first new song in fifteen years, and it picks up where they left off: close harmonies, slow drums, nothing hurried. It’s out on 8 January 2027 on coloured vinyl LP via Nettwerk.
