This is the Kit returns with Ghost Coat, her seventh studio album, due on 15th January 2027 via Memphis Industries. It is available to preorder now in two vinyl variants: a pink LP and a splatter LP, both pressed for the album’s release early next year.
Ghost Coat was recorded at Rockfield Studios in the Wye Valley and is the first record Kate Stables has self-produced. That shift matters — these songs came together differently, and the results reflect a more direct relationship between the writing and the final sound. The record is built around themes of home and homesickness, the way that feeling can surface anywhere regardless of where you actually are.
Both the pink and splatter pressings are available to order now from Sister Ray. January is far enough out that stock should hold for a while, but the coloured variants on Memphis Industries releases have a habit of disappearing before the release date arrives.
