Teenage Fanclub's Do Not Dare To Dream is out now on opaque orange vinyl via Sister Ray. New from Merge Records, released 9 October 2026.
Teenage Fanclub‘s new record Do Not Dare To Dream is out on Merge Records on opaque orange vinyl, and if you want it in that format you will need to act now. The title track was written by Norman Blake, and the title itself is a deliberate push back against a certain brand of optimism — Blake has said he simply does not think the world works the way those motivational slogans suggest. That kind of dry scepticism suits Teenage Fanclub well.
The track is built on ringing acoustic guitars with duelling electrics coming in toward the close, which places it firmly in the lineage of everything that has made this band worth following across three decades. Anthemic without being earnest about it.
The opaque orange pressing is exclusive to Sister Ray and has been out since 9 October 2026, so stock could move quickly. Merge Records have been consistent with their pressings and this is not a record you want to end up paying a reseller premium on later. Get it direct while it is there.
