About this record

A surprise EP and arguably their most black metal-leaning material since Sunbather. Three tracks — Hunter, Three Princes, Sorry Laid the Hearth — produced by Arthur Rizk, with blast-beats, tremolo-picked guitars and ominous choral synths. Named after photographer Robert Del Tredici’s book documenting nuclear weapons production. Whatever you make of where Deafheaven have been recently, this sounds like them shaking something loose. Wild Rye vinyl from Rough Trade.
