Knifeplay's third album What Is Truth? is up for preorder on 2xLP via Norman Records. Out 22 January 2026 on Double Double Whammy.
Philadelphia’s Knifeplay have a third album coming and it is a double LP. What Is Truth? is out through Double Double Whammy on 22 January 2027, and it is available to preorder now via Norman Records. The label has put out some of the more considered records in the shoegaze and indie rock space in recent years, and their track record with this kind of release is solid.
Knifeplay have been building quietly. Their earlier records rewarded the listeners who found them, and this third release on a 2xLP format suggests the band and label both feel there is enough here to stretch out properly. If you have not gone back to their earlier work yet, this preorder is a good prompt to do so. The double LP format from Double Double Whammy tends to be well considered — not padding, but space used deliberately.
Worth getting on your radar early and ordering before it sells through the initial run.
