Hood's Cold House gets a 25th anniversary reissue on Domino — audiophile 2xLP with a new Simon Reynolds interview and booklet. Out 13 November 2026.
Hood‘s Cold House is finally getting the reissue it deserves. Domino are pressing it to audiophile double vinyl for the 25th anniversary and including a new booklet with archival photos and a fresh interview by Simon Reynolds — the right person to be writing about this record, given how much he has documented the broader post-rock era it emerged from and quietly surpassed.
Cold House came out in 2001 and drew together slowcore, post-rock, Yorkshire folk, electronics with a cLOUDDEAD production credit, and IDM influences in a way that has only become more interesting in the time since. You can hear its shadow in Bar Italia, Claire Rousay, and More Eaze — artists who may not cite it directly but are clearly working in territory this record helped open up. It is one of those albums that accumulates rather than dates.

The limited edition also comes with a signed postcard. Out 13 November 2026 on black double vinyl via Domino Mart. If there is one reissue in this issue worth prioritising, it is this one.
