Wishy's second album Nature's Pill is out now on Winspear. The Indiana duo deliver shoegaze-inflected indie rock with real melodic instinct. Indies pink vinyl available.
Wishy‘s second album is out now. The Indiana duo have been building a following with a sound that sits comfortably in the space between shoegaze and indie rock, and Nature’s Pill does not deviate from that — it refines it. There is a melodic confidence running through this record that the debut pointed toward but did not quite fully land.
The guitars breathe in the mix rather than being pushed to the front as a statement, and the hooks are real ones. There are traces of baggy and neo-psych in the production choices without the record leaning into either as a primary reference. It holds together as a full listen rather than a collection of singles.
The standard LP is available now on Winspear. There is also an indies exclusive pressing on Devil’s Blush Pink vinyl, which is worth tracking down if you care about the physical object as well as the music. Sister Ray have both versions listed.
