Jóhann Jóhannsson's Orphée gets a 10th anniversary reissue on crystal clear vinyl via Deutsche Grammophon, out 16 Oct 2026. Limited pressing available from Sister Ray.
Ten years on from its original release, Jóhann Jóhannsson‘s Orphée is being reissued by Deutsche Grammophon on crystal clear vinyl, out on 16th October 2026. The pressing is limited, timed to Jóhannsson’s birthday, and marks the first time the album has appeared in this format.
Orphée sits in its own space — Jóhannsson’s most minimal and searching record, built from voice, organ and sparse orchestration. It has aged into something that feels more necessary rather than less, which is not always the case with records that were this quietly acclaimed on release.
The clear vinyl edition is available now from Sister Ray. If you know this record, you already know whether you need this. If you don’t, October 16th is a reasonable place to start.
