New vinyl you need to know about
Movietone’s long-neglected Day and Night finally gets a proper reissue via Domino, with liner notes from Stephen McRobbie and an unreleased bonus 7″. Ex:Re returns with Save As, Elena Tonra’s second album under that name, available on crystal clear vinyl with a lyric booklet. GIFT announce Frenzy for the Thrill on Captured Tracks, their most direct and band-oriented record yet. New Order’s Brotherhood arrives on crystal clear vinyl for National Album Day, and Veronica Falls’ self-titled debut gets a 15th anniversary reissue on double crystal clear vinyl via Bella Union with bonus recordings.

Day and NightMovietone Domino — 16th October 2026 — LP + limited bonus 7″ This Bristol-connected group’s 1997 album has been quietly circulating among the right people for years — NTS DJs rediscovering it, Stephen Pastel calling them “one of the great unknown English groups” in The Quietus. It sits somewhere between late-era Talk Talk, Broadcast and Alice Coltrane, and this is the first reissue since 1997. The Domino Mart limited edition comes with a booklet, liner notes by Stephen McRobbie of The Pastels, archival photos, and a bonus 7″ featuring the unreleased single ‘Phonograph Space’. Exclusive to Domino Mart, Monorail and World of Echo. |

Save AsEx:Re 4AD — 30th October 2026 — LP / Indies Exclusive Crystal Clear Vinyl LP Elena Tonra’s second record under the Ex:Re name, produced by Fabian Prynn with contributions from Josephine Stephenson on cello, Hinako Omori on synthesisers and Jethro Fox on electric guitar. Her first Ex:Re album was one of the quieter, more devastating records of 2018 — this one sounds built from the same impulse: preserving moments before they disappear. The indies exclusive crystal clear vinyl comes with a lyric booklet, and that’s the one worth picking up. |

Veronica Falls (15th Anniversary Reissue)Veronica Falls Bella Union — Double 140g Crystal Clear Vinyl, gatefold with insert The debut album that announced Veronica Falls as one of the more singular indie pop voices of the era — jangle and darkness in equal measure, ghosts and heartbreak wrapped in hooks you couldn’t shake. This 15th anniversary reissue from Bella Union is pressed on double crystal clear 140g vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with an insert, and includes bonus recordings and early singles. One of the records that defined a certain Rough Trade-adjacent moment, and worth owning properly. |

Frenzy for the ThrillGIFT Captured Tracks — 15th January 2027 — LP, Radioactive Yellow/Black Vinyl TJ Freda and the band made a deliberate decision to bring in electronic producer Teddy Mars and structure this record around the energy and momentum of dance music, without losing the guitar textures and synth work that have defined GIFT’s sound. It’s their most physically immediate record — still melodic, still laced with that far-seeing quality, but with more muscle behind it. The radioactive yellow and black vinyl is the edition to get. |

Brotherhood (40th Anniversary)New Order Warner — 17th October 2026 — Limited Crystal Clear Vinyl Forty years on from the album that gave us ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’, and New Order’s pivot toward electronic territory feels as decisive now as it did in 1986. This pressing uses the 2024 remaster and is on crystal clear vinyl — a National Album Day release, so quantities are genuinely limited. If Brotherhood is a gap in your collection, this is the version to fill it with. |

Apples For IsaacEcho & The Bunnymen BMG — 18/09/2026 — Limited LP (Green Splatter Vinyl) Their first album of new material in over a decade, and it opens with the same urgency as their early records. ‘Brussels Is Haunted’ carries that life-affirming chorus you want from them. Sadly it’s also one of the last things the late drummer Clem Burke played on, appearing on all but one track before he passed away during its making. |

Grand Theft Auto VI: The AlbumVarious Artists 19/11/2026 — Marble Pink & Blue 2LP + Poster, Gatefold Sleeve The GTA VI hype train is real and well underway. 34 original tracks soundtracking Vice City and Leonida, pulled together from a wide, genre-defying roster. This is a limited indies-only pressing, marble pink and blue, gatefold, with a poster thrown in, so if you want it in this colourway you’ll want to get your order in before it’s gone. |

GorillazGorillaz PLG UK Frontline / Parlophone — 04/12/2026 — Limited Hand Pressed Camouflage Green, Brown & Black 2LP The debut that started it all back in 2001, back on wax as a hand pressed camouflage 2LP. Albarn and Hewlett’s whole virtual band concept still feels like it was ahead of its time, and this is the record with ‘Clint Eastwood’, ’19-2000′ and ‘Tomorrow Comes Today’ on it, the run of singles that made the concept impossible to ignore. |

Guidance (10th Anniversary Edition)Russian Circles Sargent House — December 11, 2026 — Metallic Gold & Cloudy Clear/Black Ice LP Ten years on from its original release, Russian Circles’ sixth album gets the anniversary treatment on two new colourways. If you already know Guidance you know why it’s worth owning on wax again, that stretch from Vorel through Afrika still hits like a slow crush. This is a straight repress with new vinyl options, nothing more, nothing less, but for post-metal heads that’s plenty. |

A Flower To WaterPlaygrounded Pelagic Records — September 18, 2026 — LP Gatefold Third album from this Athens progressive post-metal outfit, mixed by C. Cederberg of Leprous and Anathema fame and mastered by George Tanderø, who’s worked with Madrugada and Satyricon among others. It comes with a real embarrassment of vinyl choices, five editions including a green “Counting Embers” pressing, a splatter subscriber exclusive, and a straight black LP, all limited runs. If you’re into Karnivool, Vola or Skyharbor, this is squarely in that lane, and worth picking your colour early before the smaller editions vanish. |
