Twenty five years into their career and Cult of Luna are not making comfortable records. In the Shadow of Your Shadow is described as the darkest thing the Swedish group have put their name to, a seventy one minute record shaped by recent loss and featuring guest vocals from Joe Duplantier and David Eugene Edwards alongside the band’s own expansive architecture.
For a group that has built its entire identity on refusing to repeat itself, that context matters. This is not a band coasting on an established sound.
The record comes as a 2LP in gatefold with a 12 page booklet, and five colour variants are available, all limited. It releases on 6th November 2026. If you want a coloured variant, Red Creek are carrying preorders now and the limited editions will move before the release date.
