Xiu Xiu's La Forêt returns to vinyl for the first time in 15 years. Limited Jade Eco Mix LP out 25 September on 5RC, available from Resident Music.
Xiu Xiu‘s La Forêt is back on vinyl for the first time in fifteen years, arriving on 25th September via 5RC on a limited Jade Eco Mix LP. It is one of the quieter, stranger corners of Jamie Stewart’s catalogue, which is saying something given the breadth of what surrounds it.
The record draws on post punk, gamelan and noise, held together by Stewart’s songwriting in a way that feels less confrontational than some of their work and more genuinely unsettling for it. If your shelf has a gap here, this limited pressing is the moment to fill it. Resident Music have it available now.
