Sennen return with New Quiet, their first album in over a decade, on Sonic Cathedral. Pre-order the LP now from Norman Records.
Sennen are back. New Quiet is the UK shoegaze band’s first record in over a decade, and it arrives on Sonic Cathedral, the same label behind some of the more important records in this corner of the genre. The gap between releases will mean something different to different listeners, but the return to Noel Summerville’s label at least signals that the context feels right.
The band built a genuine following on albums like We’re Building A World and Come On Natural, records that sat comfortably in the quieter, more textured end of the shoegaze spectrum. Whether New Quiet picks up from where those records left off or marks a shift in direction, the mere fact of a new Sennen record on Sonic Cathedral is enough to pay attention.
It is available to pre-order now from Norman Records. No release date is listed yet, but the pre-order is live and the LP format is confirmed. If your shelves lean toward the Sonic Cathedral catalog, this one belongs there too.
