Howling Bells Are Finally Getting Their Debut On Vinyl

Some records take a while to catch up with the format they always deserved. Howling Bells released their self titled debut back in 2006, a dark, atmospheric record built almost entirely around Juanita Stein’s voice, and somehow it never made it to vinyl at the time. Twenty years on, that gets put right.

Nude Records are marking the anniversary properly. There’s a Dinked Edition on EcoMix marble vinyl that comes with a bonus seven inch carrying four unreleased demos, plus a signed art print, capped at just 500 copies. If you know this album, you already understand why that matters. If you don’t, this is genuinely a great place to start, since it holds up better than most records from that era.

It’s due out October 2nd and up for preorder now through Piccadilly Records. With a run this small, we’d expect it to sell out well before release day, and once it does, you know what happens next.
