About this record

The Veldt formed in Raleigh in 1986 and built a sound that ran deep R&B roots directly through shoegaze guitar textures in a way that almost nobody else was doing. Afrodisiac is where that fusion hits hardest, and a 2xLP reissue is long overdue. For anyone who has spent time with My Bloody Valentine, Lush or Slowdive and wants to hear where R&B and shoegaze genuinely collide.
