What happens between now and the day
- List announcedThe official list is published, usually weeks before the day.
- Shops place ordersEach shop chooses what to order. They don't always get everything.
- Final detailsTitles can still be added, dropped or changed.
- The daySold in participating shops, in person. No pre-orders.
- Leftovers onlineMany shops list unsold copies from the next day.
- Things settleRSD First titles may come to other shops. Resale prices often drop.
Getting ready
You don’t need to do much yet. When the list lands, make a short list of what you want, check each title’s category and quantity, and ask your local shop whether they’re ordering it. Our first-timer guide covers the rest.
