About Hydra Head Records

Hydra Head Records was founded by Aaron Turner of Isis in 1993. It released extreme and experimental metal by Isis, Botch, Cave In, Pelican, Jesu and Mare, and ran the noise imprint Hydra Head Noise Industries.

Turner wound the label down in 2012, so its records mostly return on vinyl through reissues.

We list 11 Hydra Head vinyl releases, from artists including Isis, Pelican and Boris. Most of them are post-rock, shoegaze and dream pop records. The release dates run from 1999 to 2010.
