About this record
Freeman’s third album, recorded quickly with John Congleton in Hollywood, earned the Pitchfork Best New Album stamp for his last record and ended up in the New York Times year-end lists. This one sounds more friction-heavy and unpredictable: guitar scorchers, psych-rock noodles, near-baroque piano, and enough key changes to lose track. The Dinked Edition is the obvious choice at 500 copies.
